Two or more years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or inpatient rehabilitation environment Prior experience with both adult and pediatric inpatient caseloads, including medically complex and post-surgical patients Experience working night shift and being comfortable with autonomous practice and rapid response situations Proficiency with advanced respiratory therapies such as non-invasive ventilation, high-flow oxygen therapy, airway clearance techniques, and tracheostomy care in rehab populations Familiarity with ventilator management and weaning protocols in a rehab or long-term acute setting Previous experience in interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams that include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and nursing Experience with quality improvement initiatives, outcomes tracking, or evidence-based practice projects in respiratory care Background working in facilities recognized for high-quality care, specialty certifications, or advanced rehab services Bilingual or multilingual communication skills helpful for diverse patient populations . Typical responsibilities in this role include performing comprehensive respiratory assessments on adult and pediatric patients, delivering therapeutic interventions such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and non-invasive ventilation as appropriate, and providing ongoing monitoring and adjustment of respiratory care based on patient response.
