The Med/Surg RN is responsible for assessing patients, identifying health issues, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team. The RN will recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately, communicate effectively with providers and the healthcare team, and delegate tasks based on patient needs, staff competencies, and the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
