In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, the Critical Care Unit (CCU)/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the Critical Care Unit (CCU) Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Department , your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.
