p>Duties include but are not limited to the following: - Supervises, mentors, trains and evaluates the work of supervisory, professional, technical and other program staff; provides supervision for over 200 employees;
- Provides oversight and operational direction for a large in-home program, group homes, supported living programs and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
- Ensures comprehensive care and supports are provided to individuals in the group homes;
- Leads planning, implementation and on-going evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of services;
- Interprets and monitors local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations that affect the operation of the Residential Program and determines impact of proposed legislative and regulatory changes;
- Participates in management staff meetings to assist in the planning, development and implementation of agency services, policies, procedures and program objectives;
- Manages schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage;
- Manages and monitors the budget;
- Ensures regulatory compliance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Virginia Department of Health, Department of Medical Assistance Services, Medicaid Waiver, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Chesterfield County, and other regulatory agencies; and.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, IT or a related field (masters degree preferred); five years of increasingly responsible experience in the provision of mental health services to include three years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
