Some positions may require a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle The above minimum qualifications are typically gained by one or more of the following: + At least two (2) years work experience in Vocational Rehabilitation, case management, or working with students with disabilities in an educational or community setting, including experience with caseload tracking, and/or coordinating services and resources for individuals with disabilities; or + Completion of a Bachelor's degree program in Vocational Rehabilitation, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology or a related field; or + An Associate degree with one (1) year of work experience as described above Preferred Qualifications: + Experience scheduling, conducting, and effectively completing intake interviews to gather accurate, detailed, and necessary applicant information Key Responsibilities: + Responds to inquiries regarding VR services. + Uses critical listening skills to elicit additional or more detailed information from the applicant to enable a more complete understanding of the participant's disabilities, personal background, etc. and the potential impact on their employment + Identifies appropriate resources for disability-related medical and psychological records + Obtains Releases of Information (ROIs) to authorize IDVR to request medical, psychological, and other entity records, ensuring that authorization is issued prior to sending the ROI, and for contacts to be listed in the case file + Ensures orientation information is communicated to the applicant + Ensures all application paperwork is completed, signed and enters information into case management system.
