2D and 3D EM field solver tools, such as Ansys HFSS, CST, Sigrity, or Keysight SIPIEM Pro • Channel simulation tools for frequency domain and time domain analysis, such as Keysight ADS • High-speed interface design and analysis concepts, such as PCIe, Ethernet, and IEEE802.3 • Hand-on experience for lab equipment, such as Oscilloscope, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), and Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) • Concepts of PCB layout, including experience with tools, such as Cadence Allegro, PCB designer, or other PCB designer tools • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve SIPI failures • Knowledge of optical and active copper cable technologies (plus). • Perform SI simulation, including modeling, pre-post-data processing, and analysis • Support high-speed interface interconnects, channel simulation, and analysis • Work in the lab with various equipment to perform SI measurements, SerDes test cable evaluation, and qualification, and correlation of the measurements with the SI simulations • Provide design guidelines for platforms based on simulation and 3D modeling activities • Review platform designs to ensure that signal paths are laid out to meet design specifications for high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and Ethernet • Work with platform mechanical, electrical design software, system test, and manufacturing teams to assist in moving the product into production.
