Teaching: Participation in the educational activities of Transfusion Medicine including: (1) didactic presentations, rounds, and seminars involving residents, medical and graduate students, and dental and allied health students; (2) continuing education for faculty, nurses, allied health personnel, and community physicians; and (3) development of workshops at the local, state, and national level. Promote the use of safe and effective blood transfusion components and services throughout the medical center, working closely with clinicians in hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation, neurology, obstetrics and cardiothoracic and trauma surgery.
