The research patient navigator is a research professional working under the direction of their Novant Health leader and will be primarily responsible for providing research education to patients and their families, serving as a liaison between patients and study teams, and identifying resources and making connections to improve accessibility to research opportunities. Assess patient needs upon initial encounter, including potential barriers to trial participation and address barriers by providing assistance with transportation, appointment reminders, and referral to support services such as financial counselors and social workers as needed.
