The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and sales leads within an assigned geographical area by engaging with residential prospects, understanding the needs and challenges of each prospect, and proposing TruVista products and services.

<h5>Field Sales Representative </h5>The Field Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and sales leads within an assigned geographical area by engaging with residential prospects, understanding the needs and challenges of each prospect, and proposing TruVista products and services. Will drive company owned vehicle, depending on availability, or personally owned vehicle with mileage reimbursement based on IRS published mileage rate. This position will focus on the South Georgia service areas of Sylvester, Albany, Fitzgerald, Tifton, Omega, Waycross, Leesburg, Douglasville. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: <ul><li>Market TruVista services by presenting products and services in a door-to-door environment to generate sales and sales leads in neighborhoods and other residential locations within an assigned geographical area </li><li>Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales quota and other goals set forth by the Director of D2D and MDU Sales </li><li>Develop a high level of understanding of TruVista products and services and fiber advantages to effectively discuss services with residents </li><li>Ability to quickly build rapport to generate sales and sales leads </li><li>Ability to quickly overcome objections to generate sales and sales leads </li><li>Work flexible hours – to include evenings and Saturdays </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and must maintain a clean driving record </li><li>Must have reliable transportation and have proof of insurance </li><li>Ability to work at multiple locations within a territory – to include, but not limited to, Tift, Worth, Colquitt, Cook, Crisp, Atkinson, Treutlen, Montgomery, Dooly, County, and extended areas required. </li><li>Performs all other related duties as assigned by management </li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul><li>Customer Service – Strong customer service skills required; Effectively manages difficult or emotional customer situations, solicits customer feedback to improve service, and meets customer commitments </li><li>Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on resolving conflict vs. blaming others, maintains confidentiality, and is open to coaching and new ideas </li><li>Communications – Above normal communications skills; Speaks clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations, listens and gets clarification, and responds well to questions. Able to compose professional business correspondence. </li><li>Teamwork – Provides and welcomes feedback, contributes to a positive team spirit, and supports team member efforts to succeed </li><li>Attendance / Punctuality – Is logged in and ready to work at the start of each shift, limits unscheduled absences </li><li>Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures and completes administrative tasks correctly; knowledge of company products and services </li><li>Planning and Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work effectively and uses work time efficiently </li><li>Math Skills – Able to calculate adjustments and amounts such as discounts, pro-rata, percentages, and apply concepts of basic accounting </li><li>Professionalism – Maintains a professional appearance. Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, and treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments. </li><li>Computer Skills – Possesses solid operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order processing software. </li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training </li><li>Industry experience is preferred </li><li>Experience in cable, wireless or other telecommunication products is a plus </li><li>Prior Sales experience and skill in persuasion techniques is a must </li><li>Must be motivated and capable of working with little supervision </li><li>Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation with proof of insurance </li><li>Must complete pre-employment background screening with favorable results </li></ul>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Time will be spent going door to door – will be subjected to various weather conditions to include rain, severe heat and severe cold. Very little office time – most of time will be spent in vehicle or travelling through neighborhoods or complexes selling Truvista offerings.
