Job Title: Respiratory Therapist II Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting working with pediatrics, NICU, and/or PICU License: Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, or advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in a Bronchoscopy Lab Must-Have: - Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures - Ability to document clinical information - Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and staff - Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts to practical situations - Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical situations Description: The Respiratory Therapist II administers competent care of patients through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and respiratory care procedures. Provides all aspects of airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tube changes, endotracheal intubations, and extubations.
