Overview: Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Respiratory Care Practitioner, under direct supervision, conducts patient assessments, assists with the development of the plan of care, provides and evaluates general, basic patient care with assistance to an assigned group of patients according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. The Respiratory Care Team is accountable for delivering high-quality, evidence-based respiratory therapy to pediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, including critical care, pulmonary diagnostics, and sleep lab services.
