In the admissions function, the RN collaborates with nursing leadership, admissions personnel, hospitals, referral sources, residents, and families to coordinate new admissions and ensure clinical information, physician orders, medications, treatments, equipment, and other resident needs are appropriately communicated and addressed during the transition into the community. Identify and respond to potential infections and outbreaks, collaborating with nursing leadership, providers, public health agencies, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate testing, precautions, monitoring, and appropriate interventions.
