Provides nursing care and procedures according to physician orders and nursing protocol including administering medication, evaluating side effects and the overall effectiveness of medications, maintaining health care equipment and supplies, tracking drugs and instruments, performing basic life support, CPR, and participating in emergency response settings. Incumbents of this class may function in a non-supervisory capacity if performing specialized work of significant complexity or scope such as coordinating regional/statewide programs, serving as a subject matter expert for critical departmental functions, or operating as a Charge Nurse/Floor Supervisor.
