DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: This is a 12-bed unit where nurses care for adult patients undergoing short-term observation for conditions such as allergic reactions, asthma, cellulitis, chest pain, hyperglycemia, dehydration, seizures, pneumonia, and substance use disorder.
