Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse license; three (3) recent years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma institution; experience caring for critically ill or injured children, newborns through adolescents, neurological conditions, cardiac care, respiratory illnesses, and patients requiring intensive care unit-level monitoring and interventions; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), MAB or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification; Los Angeles City Fire and Life Safety Card; Los Angeles County Employee Health Clearance. Care may include pediatric medical and surgical critical care, neurological injuries or conditions, cardiac care, respiratory illnesses, and intensive care unit-level monitoring and interventions.
