Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float/Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale certificate (nice to have) - De-Escalation Certificate (preferred) Must-Have: - Experience, comfort, and proficiency with drips including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltizem, digoxin - Ability to read EKG/ECG and perform tele-related duties - EPIC electronic medical record experience - Skills checklist specific to the discipline of Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates through phone calls or texts. Nurses will be assigned to various units based on needs and are required to float across Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and some post-procedural areas.
