Responsibilities: RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: assessment and reassessment, analyzing patient data, establishing goals and priorities of care, developing and implementing care plans, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, patient education, delegation of tasks, evaluation of patient outcomes, newborn transition management, and responding appropriately to maternal and neonatal emergencies. The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery and Newborn Transition Team (NTT) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to obstetrical patients and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and immediate newborn transition experience.
