Is continuously responsible or total patient care within assigned nursing unit or floor; is directly responsible for performing all professional patient care functions and carry out administrative responsibilities as delegated by charge nurse, director of Nursing, and/or assistant director of nursing. Meets with supervisor, director of nursing and/or assistant director of nursing to discuss unit problems, staffing, assignments, and improvement of patient care.
