Required surgical experience includes: - Bariatric laparoscopic assisted cases - General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), Laparoscopic procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy (partial/total), Whipple - Client: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion - Orthopedics: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures - Plastic Surgery: Free Flap - Microvascular - Transplant: Organ donation - Urology: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy - Trauma: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, Multiple Injuries Emergency management experience is also necessary, including: - Code response - Fire safety - Latex allergy - Malignant hyperthermia The position requires knowledge and skills in administering blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling and labeling, and the universal protocol procedure.
