Nurses on this unit care for patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses, including acute stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, neurosurgical recovery, spinal conditions, altered mental status, and other complex neurological illnesses requiring continuous monitoring and specialized care. Our Neuro Intermediate Unit provides specialized care for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring than a medical-surgical unit, offering nurses the opportunity to strengthen their clinical assessment skills while working alongside a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
