<p>Job description:</p><p>The Process and Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving automated control systems and manufacturing processes. This position works cross-functionally to optimize production line efficiency, ensure product quality, and reduce operational costs through the application of process engineering principles and automation technologies.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>· Develop, test, and implement process control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) to automate and enhance manufacturing operations.</p><p>· Analyze current manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities and implement changes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.</p><p>· Lead or support capital projects involving automation upgrades, new equipment installation, or production line modifications.</p><p>· Design and implement data acquisition systems and process monitoring tools to drive continuous improvement.</p><p>· Troubleshoot control systems, instrumentation, and process-related issues in real-time manufacturing environments.</p><p>· Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to ensure robust and reliable equipment performance.</p><p>· Create and maintain technical documentation including control system designs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and operating procedures.</p><p>· Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, NFPA) and company safety policies in all engineering activities.</p><p>· Train operators and maintenance staff on new automated systems and process changes.</p><p>· Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations or equipment failures.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><p>· Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA systems.</p><p>· Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).</p><p>· Familiarity with automation platforms and software tools (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Ignition SCADA, etc.).</p><p>· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.</p><p>· Experience with robotics integration (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, UR).</p><p>o Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing technologies</p><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><p>· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p><p>· Excellent verbal and written communication.</p><p>· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.</p><p>· Team player with a proactive and hands-on approach.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.</p><p>· 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering and controls/automation systems</p><p>· Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.</p><p>· Ability to be well organized and the ability to prioritize to make good decisions, and multi-task.</p><p>· Ability to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and facility leadership.</p><p/><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Vacation</li><li>Holidays </li></ul>
