KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors + Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvement + Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management + Improve manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency + Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members + Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment + Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment + Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results + Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas + Establish an effective and efficient work sequence + Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems + Design, develop and test sources and cost-justify various tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods + Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunities Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + 5+ years' experience in a metal fabrication environment.
