p>Duties and Responsibilities: • Complete the initial safety and technical training onboarding • Demolition and removal of existing roofing material • Loading and unloading roofing material and equipment • Complete assigned sheet metal tasks at or above expected production rates • Read and follow shop drawings and manufacturer specifications • Install perimeter metals, gutters, downspouts, coping, drip edge, gravel stop pipe, flashings, and counterflashing with minimal supervision • Perform accurate field measurements to support fabrication • Maintain tool readiness and proper equipment use • Identify material needs early to prevent delays • Learning the basic technical details of various roof systems • Maintaining a clean and safe work site • Participating in continuous improvement initiative.
Specifically:
• Proficient in cutting, bending, forming, and installing sheet metal components • Strong understanding of fastening patterns and attachment methods • Ability to interpret drawings and roof plans • Ability to show Sheet Metal knowledge and skills during a practical assessment before hire.
