In addition, the registered respiratory therapist is expected to serve as a resource to physicians, colleagues, and customers and participate in orientation, in-service education, departmental quality assurance activities, and staff leadership roles within Respiratory Therapy Department. Including but not limited to; smoking cessation education, care and cleaning of device education, medication side effects and dosages education and respiratory therapies such as Incentive Spirometry, MDI/DPI usage, HHN usage, CPT/Vest therapy education.
