This role ensures that equipment operates safely and efficiently to meet the demands of water and wastewater construction sites.<div align="center" style="text-align:center;margin-bottom:11px"><hr align="center"/></div>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on heavy construction equipment, including tasks such as oil and filter changes, fluid checks, lubrication and cooling maintenance, replacing and/or repairing defective components, and troubleshooting any mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Perform equipment inspections and mechanical testing, focusing on mechanical integrity, wear parts, and safety systems. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Maintain proper inventory of tools, parts, and consumables required for maintenance and repairs. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Coordinate with procurement and part suppliers to order replacements.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Complete and document work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment service records. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Collaborate with project superintendents, field supervisors, and equipment operators to prioritize the repairs and minimize equipment downtime. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Work in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space awareness.</li></ul><div align="center" style="text-align:center;margin-bottom:11px"><hr align="center"/></div>Heavy Equipment Mechanic Work Environment and Essential Functions<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This role is an on-site, outdoors position that requires work in all types of weather conditions.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This position performs strenuous physical activities for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This role will be required to stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This role is occasionally required to work at elevated heights.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">This role will require occasional travel.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required <ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Class B CDL preferred but not required</li></ul></li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Manufacturer or dealer training on heavy equipment maintenance and repair</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrain components.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Basic computer and mobile device skills for completing digital work orders and maintenance logs.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Experience operating or repairing heavy construction equipment.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Welding and fabrication skills.</li></ul>Benefits<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Following 58 days of full-time employment, you may be eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Following 90 days of full-time employment, employees are eligible for 401(k) and sick/personal leave</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">After 6 months+ of continuous employment, paid vacation is offered</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Paid holidays</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Travel/Transportation/Lodging compensated</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Company dispatch vehicle will be provided for required travel</li></ul> We Value Everyone At Haren Construction Company, our purpose is to build exceptional people, trusting relationships, great projects, and strong communities.
