1) Knowledge of State and Federal Policy, Procedures, Rules and Regulations regarding Risk Management, Human Rights, OSHA, Worker"s Compensation, Emergency Management and NFPA; 2)Ability to collect, interpret, manipulate, and present data; 3) Organizational skills and writing skills are essential; 4) Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form with a variety of individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds; 5)Individual must have the ability to write, clearly, concisely and in an extremely organized manner; 6)Extensive administrative knowledge base; 7) High degree of independent initiative and decision-making; 8) Teaching/training skills; 9) Must be able to function independently; and. Responsibilities include chairing the Safety Committee and Hospital Emergency Management Committee, conducting safety inspections and emergency preparedness exercises, coordinating staff training, managing hazard vulnerability assessments and emergency operations plans, leading incident investigations and root cause analyses, and maintaining environmental and ligature risk assessments.
