POSITION DESCRIPTION: Incumbents in this class perform Security Officer-non-sworn (security guard licensing required) related functions at the Community College, involving the responsibility for maintaining order, working with partner agencies enforcing the Laws of the State of New York, for the security of College property (any of the 5 campus sites), and for the safety of students, visitors and staff. Patrols buildings, grounds and parking areas on foot or in a patrol vehicle to maintain order, protect persons and property, control traffic, provide first aid and to prevent trespassing, theft or damage.
