RNs who do not currently hold a BSN or higher degree in nursing must meet the educational requirements established by the State of New York (New York State’s BSN in 10 Law), including completion of a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing within the timeframe required by applicable New York State law and regulations, unless otherwise exempt. Experience in three or more different nursing unit types (i.e. ICU, Intermediate Care, Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, OR, Psychiatric, Emergency, Procedural) is required, 3-4 years preferred.
