Responsibilities: Answers phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using the AIDET customer service key words Transfers calls according to procedures Schedules appointments in a timely and efficient manner Schedules appointments as directed by referring providers Uses scheduling books routinely Pages providers for hospital consults/call backs according to procedures Confirming of appointments Enters authorization information on patient account in computer Maintains information in a confidential manner Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner Attended required meetings and participates in committees as required Safeguard the privacy of patient health information Performs related work as required . Requirements: 1 year reception or phone operator experience is required Medical reception preferred, cardiology experience a plus Knowledge in the healthcare setting Ability to effectively communicate .
