This position can either be a day shift or an evening shift position but will require some flexibility as to which shifts you will be working if you need to cover shifts.  This will also require being able to take calls and find coverage in case of emergencies.  Tracking and reporting off-site time for yourself to ensure proper pay will be part of your responsibility. Must be able to cover the shift if you cannot find other coverage.  The key to avoiding this is planning, providing the RCD data to manage attendance. attention to detail, and fair and consistent usage of the PRN pool.Join us at Aviva Senior Living and be part of a community that prioritizes the well-being and happiness of our residents, fostering a sense of comfort, connection, and joy every day. Shift Details:We are currently searching for a Scheduler/Medication Assistant to join the following shift: Day or evening with on-call for emergent scheduling needs.  Please note, this may change throughout employment as needed with notice. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for scheduling coverage for all clinical shifts with the general guidance of the Resident Care Director. </li><li>Providing residents with medication administration, treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders. </li><li>Adhering to the narcotic and PRN policies of Aviva Senior Living. </li><li>Reporting any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors. </li><li>Maintaining resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations. </li><li>Following the schedule of the resident's needs set out by the supervisor. </li><li>Providing emotional and social support to residents. </li><li>Adhering to all policies and procedures of the community. </li><li>Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the supervisor. </li><li>Regular and predictable attendance daily. </li></ul>Qualifications, skills, and abilities:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with ability to use computers and applicable software. </li><li>Certified in Ohio as a STNA and a Certified Medication Assistant. </li><li>One to two years of related work experience in assisted living preferred </li><li>Skilled in caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnosis. </li><li>Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion. </li><li>Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations </li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of state regulations </li><li>Ability to read and write in English </li></ul> Full-time employees can take advantage of:<ul><li>Medical/Prescription Insurance </li><li>Dental Insurance </li><li>Vision Insurance </li><li>Paid time off accrued up to 15 days per year. </li><li>Paid Holidays </li><li>Employee Referral Program </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance </li><li>Pet Insurance available </li><li>Company matching 401k  </li><li>Available pay advance (daily pay available to all employees) </li></ul>Aviva Senior Living has achieved designation as a Great Place to Work and is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
