Summary: The Turnaround Lead Scheduler is responsible for developing,maintaining, and optimizing detailed schedules for plant turnarounds, outages, and events. Beyond technical expertise, the Turnaround Scheduler must foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect. The role calls for someone who builds trust through communication and collaboration, helping drive solutions rather than simply identifying problems. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for the development and optimization of detailed, resource-loaded, logic-driven schedules. </li><li>Formalizes turnaround shutdown and start up logic and schedules in Primavera software. </li><li>Develops conceptual turnaround schedules. </li><li>Inputs and reviews field planning data into the schedule. </li><li>Determines and ties internal and external logic. </li><li>Completes schedule data entry check list per job package. </li><li>Updates and forecasts the turnaround schedule to plan. </li><li>Solicits plan and schedule suppositions from turnaround management and tests hypotheses. </li><li>Advises turnaround management of opportunities and risks within the plan and schedule and makes recommendations to capitalize on or mitigate them as appropriate. </li><li>Leads schedule review exercises with core planning team. </li><li>Leads contractor schedule reviews and contractor schedule integration process. </li><li>Prepares user friendly schedule format. </li><li>Prepares user friendly shift and three-day look ahead schedules during the turnaround execution. </li><li>Manages schedule progress and change during turnaround execution. </li><li>Generates turnaround reports for progress as needed. </li></ul>Requirements: <ul><li>Minimum a high school diploma or GED. </li><li>The candidate will be responsible for a lot of quality control on the step outs, and will require a strong turnaround background. </li><li>The candidate will be building a schedule in a new P6 database. Experience with initial turnaround scheduling setups is a significant advantage. </li><li>Minimum 8-10 years building and executing complex turnaround or outage schedules, in Oil and Gas, LNG, or chemical facilities. </li><li>Experience as a Turnaround Planner is required. </li><li>In-depth Primavera Project Management P6 knowledge is required. </li><li>Strong experience level using Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Knowledge and experience in the best practices and cycles for Turnaround data communication.. </li></ul>Skills <ul><li>Strong leadership and organizational skills. </li><li>Strong planning and scheduling skills, able to track multiple activities with a high degree of accuracy. </li><li>Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. Able to adapt and work in a fluid work environment which expects high level of customer services, confidentiality, and integrity. </li><li>Capable of setting high standards and promoting continuous improvement. </li><li>Able to establish a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers and the various facility level workers who are all essential to ensuring successful events. </li><li>Provide mentoring and coaching to junior peers and counterparts. </li></ul>Preferred Qualification: <ul><li>Degree or PMP a plus but not required. </li><li>Prior use of IPS is an asset. </li><li>Background as a pipefitter or boilermaker an asset. </li></ul>#LI-GS1

problems.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and optimize detailed, resource-loaded, logic-driven turnaround and outage schedules for mechanical work in industrial facilities.</li><li>Formalize turnaround shutdown and startup logic and schedules using Primavera P6 software.</li><li>Create conceptual turnaround schedules to support early planning and scenario analysis.</li><li>Input and review field planning data to ensure accuracy and completeness of the schedule.</li><li>Determine internal and external logic ties between activities and ensure proper sequencing in the schedule.</li><li>Complete schedule data entry checklists for each job package to maintain quality and consistency.</li><li>Update and forecast the turnaround schedule against plan, adjusting as needed to reflect current facility in Superior, Wisconsin. The standard work schedule is approximately 40 hours per week during the planning phase. During turnaround execution (currently anticipated for 2028), the schedule will shift to an intensive rotation of 7 days per week with 13-hour shifts (7-13s) to support around-the-clock activities. The position requires close collaboration with turnaround planners, mechanical teams, contractors, and operations personnel in a plant environment. Work is performed primarily onsite, using Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and other planning tools and systems. There is a preference for local candidates; however, non-local candidates are also considered and may receive a per diem of $178 per calendar day.
