In this role, you will handle non-emergency transportation calls and make quick, informed decisions to ensure efficient and timely service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all trips are scheduled, routed, and monitored efficiently while maintaining compliance and operational excellence. Responsibilities <ul><li>Receive and manage inbound non-emergency calls</li><li>Collect and accurately document caller and trip information</li><li>Schedule same-day and future transportation requests</li><li>Assign and dispatch trips to drivers in real time using dispatch software</li><li>Monitor trips and adjust schedules as needed</li><li>Prioritize calls based on urgency and service needs</li><li>Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams</li><li>Ensure all rides are assigned promptly and accurately</li><li>Maintain high standards of customer service and compliance</li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Previous experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, or similar role preferred</li><li>Previous experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) is highly preferred</li><li>Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls</li><li>Strong typing and data entry skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities</li><li>Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>

BASIC FUNCTIONResponsible for scheduling patients into assigned modalities in accordance with scheduling guidelines, collecting and verifying insurance information, and obtaining necessary authorizations.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIESSchedules customers in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner.Collects all pertinent insurance information and obtains authorizations for procedures, as necessary.Provides customers with any patient preparation information, instructions, and directions.2.Verifies customer insurance, as required.Updates information in RisLinq and Docuware, as necessary.3.Answers Call Center calls within four rings.4.Answers telephones in a pleasant and professional manner, takes messages, and deals with customers needs expeditiously.5.Schedules fax referrals in a timely manner (within 48 hours of receipt).6.Supplements office staff, as scheduling tasks permit, by assisting with photocopying, computer input/typing, receptionist duties, and medical records calls.7.Maintains office supplies.8. Keeps work area and area around fax machine neat and clean.9.
