Greene County Schools Career and Technical Education Job Description Family and Consumer Science Culinary Arts Teacher Term: 10-month Education, Training, and Experience <ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Family and Consumer Sciences with 2 years' experience -OR-</li><li>Associate degree from an accredited institution in with 4 years' experience -OR-</li><li>Post-Secondary Culinary Arts Certificate with 6 years' experience</li></ul> License Requirements <ul><li>Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Family and Consumer Sciences Education - General license (710) -OR- Family and Consumer Sciences Education - Foods and Nutrition/Culinary Arts license (716).</li></ul> Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in Culinary Arts & Hospitality I, II, and III courses.</li><li>Manage and operate the Ram Café, including menu planning, budgeting, food preparation, scheduling, and customer service - all in collaboration with students.</li><li>Facilitate hands-on learning experiences in a safe and organized culinary lab environment.</li><li>Prepare students for and administer the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam.</li><li>Serve as co-advisor for the FCCLA chapter, planning and facilitating chapter meetings, events, and student participation in leadership conferences and competitions.</li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports student learning and growth.</li><li>Maintain and oversee kitchen safety protocols, inventory, and equipment upkeep.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and community partners to promote Career and Technical Education (CTE).</li><li>Integrate real-world applications, project-based learning, and work-based learning opportunities into the curriculum.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student progress, credential attainment, and participation in school-based enterprise.</li><li>Participate in professional development, school functions, and CTE-related events as required.</li></ul> Website to apply:
