The Division of Natural Sciences has active research partnerships with the National Park Service in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most biodiverse national park in the U.S., and will soon be housed in The Alexander Institute for Conservation Leadership and the Sciences, a state-of-the-art science facility featuring indoor and outdoor teaching labs and centers focused on Appalachian wellness, the outdoors, and environmental education. Application materials including a letter of interest addressed to Dr. Drew Crain, Chair, Natural Sciences Division, graduate transcripts (all official transcripts will be required upon hire), a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, a statement on diversity, student evaluations from the past two semesters (if available), and a list of references (including contact information) should be uploaded as a single document in the online application system or emailed to environmentalscience.search@maryvillecollege.edu.
