Education, training, and/or experience in radio dispatch communications, law enforcement, public safety, or transportation requiring the use of radio telecommunications equipment -OR- direct work experience involving a high level of public contact, customer service, or customer relations activities which required the use of radio telecommunications equipment. Responsibilities include accurately communicating emergency and nonemergency information to public agencies, Maine DOT field personnel, and the public; dispatching the appropriate units when weather, safety, and traffic events occur; and determining traffic obstacles and necessary emergency responders.
