As a seasonal team member, youll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love-while still keeping your benefits all year long.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThis position is responsible for operating and maintaining water trucks to control dust on projects and pits.<ul><li>Safely and properly operate water truck to apply water within job specifications and needs.</li><li>Properly record gallons of water used to fill truck and source obtained.</li><li>Ensure proper permits are obtained for applicable loading sites.</li><li>Safely and properly perform maintenance on water truck.</li><li>Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.</li><li>Help and clean designated areas as needed.</li><li>Assist laborers or roller operators with dumping trucks, shoveling flagging as needed.</li><li>Troubleshoot and problem solve situations, problems, material quality, equipment operation, repair, etc.</li><li>Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.</li><li>Ensure OSHA EPA DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance.</li><li>Assist in loading and unloading equipment for transport, including load securement.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTSPreferred requirements include:<ul><li>Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.</li><li>Preference given for experience driving a belly dump flow boy lowboy tanker or straight truck.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum requirements include:<ul><li>General education, grammar, and arithmetic.</li><li>GED or high school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>CDL Class B straight truck license in accordance with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations.</li><li>Must have and maintain medical card and acceptable driving record and required endorsements.</li></ul>BENEFITSKnife River offers a range of benefits, including:<ul><li>Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance</li><li>Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts</li><li>401k with Company Match</li><li>Profit Sharing</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Paid Sick Time</li><li>8 Paid Holidays</li><li>Company Paid Life and AD&D Insurance</li><li>Short-term Disability</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Years of Service Recognition</li><li>Voluntary Life Insurance for Employees, Spouses, and Dependents</li><li>Critical Illness Plan</li><li>Accident Coverage Plan</li><li>Hospital Indemnity</li></ul>ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONKnife River is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action employer.
