Operates and maintains pumps, motors, sludge collection systems, filters, flusher systems, air compressors, air dryer, pneumatic valves and positioners, chemical feeders and pumps, booster pump stations and wells, reservoirs, basins, and clearwells, settling pond, weir, intake valves and screens, mixers, recorders, meters, and transmitters, plumbing and heating, electrical/mechanical hoists, lifting equipment, pallet, and hand trucks, plant vehicle, and liquid alum storage tanks.• Examples of job performance criteria include, but are not limited to, the following:--Performs assigned duties.--Competently performs duties of operator.--Keeps current knowledge of practices in water treatment.--Knows and applies all applicable laws and regulations.--Ensures proper sampling and testing.--Maintains accurate and timely records.--Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports.--Deals tactfully and courteously with the public.--Observes work hours.--Demonstrates punctuality.--Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors and the public.
