The Parks Seasonal Groundskeeper (Maintenance Worker) performs routine semi-skilled maintenance and cleaning of grounds in city parks, recreational facilities, schools, right-of-way, and/or the Downtown Mall involving the use of common tools and operates equipment in connection with the semi-skilled tasks to which assigned (this may include but is not limited to mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, power washers, hand operated tools, and other custodial equipment); and maintaining appropriate records. The City of Charlottesville conducts job related background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment drug tests, in accordance with federal, state, and local law, of applicants who reach the final stages of the employment selection process.
