Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)This may include driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driverEnsure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in warehouseKeep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of waste timely in proper receptaclesComply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelinesQualificationsProficient in reading and writingMathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurementsComfort level with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry and/or data lookupAbility to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materialsWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekendsMust have a VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportationWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
