In addition, you will: Prepare, configure, and maintain wireless survey equipment, battery packs, test devices, and field testing gear Perform active and passive wireless data collection using indoor walk-test and outdoor drive-test methods Conduct WiFi surveys utilizing Ekahau and other field testing tools Read and navigate building floor plans while accurately identifying your location during field surveys Identify access points, antennas, physical landmarks, and building features on floor plans Document wall types, structural materials, obstacles, and other environmental factors that may impact RF signal attenuation and coverage Perform signal verification, latency, connectivity, and coverage testing Inspect cabling, equipment mounting, enclosures, labels, and other installation conditions against project documentation Capture site photographs, mark up floor plans, and complete field survey documentation Organize, label, and export field test logs for post-processing and engineering teams Identify and communicate RF anomalies, equipment issues, site-access concerns, and other field conditions to project leadership Qualifications About You: You have a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in Electronics, Technology, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field is preferred You have 1-3 years of experience in RF field testing, drive testing, wireless surveys, telecom field services, technical site auditing, cable/network installation, or a related technical field You have a basic understanding of wireless/RF concepts, including signal strength, interference, coverage, frequency bands, antennas, and signal attenuation You are comfortable reading and navigating architectural or building floor plans Previous WiFi survey or Ekahau experience is preferred, but not required You are comfortable using handheld test equipment, mobile applications, laptops, battery systems, and other field testing equipment You have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, PDF annotation tools, and mapping or survey applications You are able to walk approximately 8-10 miles per day, stand for extended periods, and carry approximately 10-15 lbs.
