While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time; occasionally run in emergency situations/ability to move quickly throughout campus on foot (between buildings and up and down stairs); use hands to finger/touch, handle, or feel; and talk or hear; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Conduct visual surveys while on patrol for potentially dangerous or unsafe areas and conditions, routinely inspect fire prevention equipment, conduct fire inspections for hazardous materials or conditions, and making on-the-spot corrections if possible or reporting the conditions to an appropriate authority for correction.
