In order to qualify for the GS-12, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Coordinating all aspects of official travel, such as flights, lodging, rental cars, rail, and other transportation in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), AND; 2) Processing travel authorizations and vouchers using government-wide travel systems (e.g., Go.gov and predecessor systems); AND; 3) Providing customer service to senior officials and staff members; responding promptly to urgent and time-sensitive travel situations requiring immediate resolution, including last-minute itinerary changes.
