It supports activities of the facilities such as responding to behavioral emergencies, escorting individuals we serve on Special Hospitalizations, patrol nursing unit every 15 minutes, processing electronic fingerprinting, ensuring equipment temperatures are functioning properly, responding to alarms, supporting emergency management programs, transporting individuals, and providing support to the switchboard/reception. Led by the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services and the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired, the Career Pathways grant will help nearly 500 Virginians with disabilities, including young adults and veterans, gain new skills and credentials through Career Pathways to seek employment in competitive, high-demand, high-quality occupations.
