TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Controls access to County buildings and property; Maintains order and, if necessary, removes disorderly persons from County facilities; Prevents trespass, loitering, and theft and property damage; Protects employees and public against physical harm caused by others; Assists visitors and clients by directing them to appropriate locations or providing non-technical information; Inspects packages and parcels carried into or out of buildings; Summons proper authorities to apprehend or arrest visitors suspected of committing crimes; Controls traffic and parking; Utilizes state-of-the-art security equipment to monitor County buildings and property and dispatch as required; Writes incident reports.
