The School Police Officer, Broward County Public Schools Police shall carry out the performance responsibilities listed below: Support the Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness Division by providing Broward County School District with on-site professional safety and security and law enforcement services, including serving on various committees or participation in working groups as requested. Respond with canine partner to various scenes including and not limited to: In-progress calls, checkpoint security, vehicle searches, weapons violations, suspicious vehicles, unattended articles and packages, firearm or ammunition searches, and other high-risk incidents where there is a likelihood of an encounter with a firearm.
