The Essential Skills Classroom Nurse may be required to accompany assigned students on school-sponsored transportation, including buses and other district-approved vehicles, to provide required health services, ensure student safety, and support access to educational programs and activities in accordance with Individualized Health Care Plans (IHCPs), physician orders, and district procedures. Working under the supervision of the Director of Health Services and a designated Registered Nurse, the Essential Skills Classroom Nurse supports students' health, safety, and well-being by performing prescribed medical procedures, administering medications, managing daily health needs, and assisting with activities of daily living within the classroom environment.
