Join Our Dynamic Team as a Pediatric CVICU RN!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information: PICU** - **Location:** 7700 Floyd Curl Dr. SA, TX 78229 - **Floor:** 4CT - **Building:** MCH - **Number of Beds:** 24 - **Number of Staff:** 40 - **Staffing Overview:** - **Day Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs (dependent on census), 1 UC - **Night Shift:** 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs (dependent on census), 1 UC - **Patient Ratios:** 2:1, 1:1 for higher acuity, 3:1 for lower step-down acuity - **Equipment Utilized:** Vents, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, GT - **EMR System:** Meditech - **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Must-Have Skills:** - Experience with intubated/ventilated patients - ICU level of care experience - **Preferred Skills:** - ECMO experience (patient care, not pump) - CRRT experience - **Typical Procedures Performed:** - Central line and chest tube placement - Sedation, LP, intubation - **Ideal Personality Fit:** - Flexible to change - Excellent communication with the medical team - Friendly and positive attitude - **Certifications Required:** - PALS certification - **Floating Areas:** - All children’s units and NICU (PIMC, PSRG, Pedi Hemonc, ER for inpatient holds, PCICU) - **Dress Code:** - Scrub color: Navy blue, no t-shirts allowed - **Policies and Guidelines:** - A PICU manual will be provided upon arrival, detailing care processes in the PICU. - **Weekend and On-Call Requirements:** - Every other weekend requirement **Position Title:** Contract-RN-Pedi CVICU(642)-7P-7A/13 weeks **Years of Experience Required:** 2 **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
