Basic knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, hydraulic press machine, and those listed in the assigned MDS Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC). · The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.

HOUR

The Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60) performs maintenance on helicopters, excluding repair of systems according to drawings, blueprints, directives, technical manuals and safety procedures.· Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.· Services and lubricates aircraft and subsystems.· Prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.· Performs scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.· Performs limited maintenance operational checks and assists in diagnosing and troubleshooting aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required.· Uses and performs operator maintenance on tools, special tools and aircraft ground support equipment.· Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.· Removes and disassembles defective parts of the aircraft.· Maintains the supplies and perform preventive maintenance.· Performs additional duties including maintenance duties, as requested.· Adheres to company policies and safety programs (Safety-first mentality)Minimum Requirements· High School Diploma or equivalent is required.· U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.· Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional )· Shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS). All experience must be within the six most recent years.· Valid Driver's License.· Must provide own tools/toolbox. Recruiters will provide toolbox requirements to candidates upon selection.· Must be able to work, day shift, swing shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift (if applicable) – As required for CBA.· Must be eligible to obtain a Passport and be able to travel internationally (applicable to OCONUS work sites).Clearance Requirements(as applicable)· Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. <ul><li>The Aircraft Mechanic I (Avionics Mechanic) adjusts, repairs and/or replaces electrical wiring and aircraft system avionics.
