li>Oversees and performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled activities, including activities associated with potable water line maintenance and repair (such as fixing water main/service line breaks, installing new water main/service lines, removing/replacing sections of streets/curbs/driveways/sidewalks, restoring yards/rights-of-way, and tapping water main lines) and activities associated with wastewater line maintenance and repair ( such as locating wastewater lines and breaks, excavating and replacing sections of streets/curbs/driveways/sidewalks; removing and replacing landscaping in yards and right-of-ways; and installing and tapping sewer lines). High school diploma or equivalent; three (3) years of full time, journey-level experience in construction, maintenance, or operation of water distribution/wastewater collection systems and experience with operation of equipment related to job assignment such as: backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, tractor-trailers, service trucks/cranes, jet rodders, steel rodders, combination jet/vacs, CCTVs, and forklifts; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
