Direct and manage large, complex environmental engineering projects, including performing senior-level technical analysis and review; Develop environmental permitting and regulatory strategy for a variety of industrial and construction projects; Manage the preparation and submission of permits and compliance programs for multiple environmental media, including air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, spill prevention and storage tanks, EPCRA (Tier II, TRI); Prepare and submit responses to Notice of Violations and negotiate permit requirements with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients; Conduct multi-media environmental compliance audits, gap assessments, inspections, and program reviews; Lead and develop a team of environmental compliance staff, including hiring, coaching, training, and motivating team members. Master's degree preferred; 10+ years of experience working with regulations and environmental permitting; Professional certification preferred; 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification; Knowledge of Federal, Midwest states, other states, and county-level environmental compliance regulations; Ability to effectively manage multiple clients and projects; Willingness and ability to identify new client opportunities is strongly desired; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and, Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.
